November 2007 - Cyclone wins West Midlands ICT Award for Innovation
Cyclone Technology are successful developers of an innovative software application designed to provide stability to a company's ICT infrastructure. The entrepreneurial company received the Highly Innovative award in the West Midlands ICT Award for Excellence in Innovation (Service) category. Judges were impressed by the company's new flagship technology, netPrefect™. Designed to provide enterprises and Managed Service Providers with technological stability, the software will enable hundreds of businesses across the region to overcome high-tech glitches and get on with making profits. Maria Baxter, Managing Director said: "We are absolutely delighted to receive validation for the customer feedback and market research we used during the development of netPrefect™. System failure is the Achilles heel of any business. Our software provides network and system management functionality to the SME market - one of the fastest growing, yet most under-served markets for technology services in the UK." Mike Musson, ICT Cluster Manager, added: “The competition this year was very fierce and our finalists were selected from around the West Midlands region. They are exceptional companies and organisations with smart and innovative services and products that attest to the quality of the growing technology sector in the West Midlands.” The ICT Excellence Awards were presented at the Annual West Midlands ICT Cluster Conference held at Birmingham’s National Motorcycle Museum on 22 November 2007.
