Configuration Backup
For those devices that have the capability to upload their configuration data via TFTP, netPrefect™ has an inbuilt TFTP server, allowing you to execute periodic commands on your managed devices that perform the upload of configuration.
This mechanism allows you to:
Upload configuration information on a schedule
Store multiple configuration backups
Purge backups that are:
older than a specified number of days
more than a specified number of generations
Mark specific uploaded configurations as "sticky", so they are never removed
Download a specific generation of backup to your device
Promote backups so that they can be used on other devices (useful when performing firmware upgrades to many similar devices)
