For those devices that have the capability to upload their configuration data via TFTP, netPrefect™ has an inbuilt TFTP server allowing you to execute periodic commands on your managed devices that perform the upload of configuration. This mechanism allows you to:

Upload configuration information on a schedule

Store multiple configuration backups,

Purge backups that are:

Mark specific uploaded configurations as "sticky" so they are never removed

Download a specific generation of backup to your device

Promote backups so that they can be used on other devices (useful when performing firmware upgrades to many similar devices)
